Opening Ceremony for Sahag Mesrob Armenian Christian School

In a powerful testament to the strength of unity, today marked the opening ceremony for Sahag Mesrob Armenian Christian School students to continue their 2025-2026 school year at the AGBU Western Region site after the tragic Eaton fire destroyed their campus. Recognizing the pressing need, AGBU stepped up to support the LA Armenian community in this challenging time.

At the ceremony, heartfelt words were shared by Anna Babayan, Sahag Mesrob School Association Chair, and Arlin Titanian, Chairlady of the School’s Board of Directors. Maral Boyadjian, Principal of Sahag Mesrob School, highlighted the resilience of the students and families, while Kevork Zoryan, Chair of AGBU Western Region, emphasized the importance of standing together in difficult times. Also present were Gohar Stambolyan, Director of AGBU Western Region, and David Ghoogasian, Head of School for AGBU MDS, whose support reflected the shared commitment to education and community.
