Parenting in the Digital World is presented by Clayton Cranford, the nation’s leading law enforcement educator on Social Media and online safety for children. Mr. Cranford is also the recipient of the 2015 National Bullying Prevention Award. This session will show you step-by-step how to set up the safety settings on all of your child’s devices, screen time limits, and how to create a culture of safety and accountability in your home.
On Wednesday, June 4th at 6:30 pm, we are hosting a special parent workshop on online safety and digital responsibility. We have worked for months to secure this nationally recognized speaker, and we are incredibly fortunate to bring this opportunity to our community.
Our students will hear from the same speaker during the school day on Thursday, May 29th — but this message can’t stop there. Parents must hear it, too. Kids need guidance, boundaries, and open conversations at home—and that starts with you being informed and prepared.
Why now? Because as summer begins, our children will inevitably have more time on devices, more unsupervised time online, and more exposure to risks. We need every parent to feel equipped to help their child navigate this world safely.
This session will cover: ✅ Cyberbullying and how to protect your child ✅ The realities of online predators and risky apps ✅ What happens if a child makes a mistake online, and how to support them ✅ How to set boundaries and foster healthy digital habits
This isn’t just another school event. It’s about keeping our kids safe. It’s about empowering families. It’s about preventing harm before it happens.
