Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Innovation
Dr. Natalie Berberian is dedicated to shaping a dynamic, forward-thinking learning environment for students from preschool through high school. As Director of Curriculum, Instruction & Innovation, one of her main priorities is to ensure that the school remains ahead of the curve, consistently seeking opportunities to help each and every child shine. Collaborating closely with faculty, she evaluates and enhances curriculum offerings, aligning them with academic standards while incorporating cutting-edge resources and tools to enrich learning experiences.
A key part of her role involves guiding the school in its journey as a data-informed institution. By analyzing NWEA MAP Growth and other insights, she helps the school make informed decisions that meet students' needs and goals, ensuring every child has the support they need to thrive. Dr. Berberian also designs professional development opportunities for teachers, keeping instructional practices innovative and impactful.
Dr. Berberian’s philosophy centers on making learning engaging, meaningful, and interconnected. She believes that education is most impactful when it extends beyond textbooks, allowing students to see connections between subjects and real-world applications. One of the most rewarding aspects of her role is hosting “Coffee+Curriculum” sessions, where she presents key topics in education to parents. These sessions aim to bridge the gap between home and school, fostering collaboration and giving parents insight into the intentional, exciting learning happening daily in classrooms.
Dr. Berberian holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California and a Master’s in Early Childhood Education from Loyola Marymount University. She is committed to introducing innovative programs and experiences that prepare AGBU MDS students not only for higher education but also for a future full of possibilities.
