Congratulations DHS Student John Paul Barsoumian

Congratulations to our student John Paul Barsoumian, who earned 1st place in his age group for piano at the prestigious Charleston International Music Competition, delivering a powerful performance of Aram Khachaturian’s “Toccata.”

John began his musical journey just before his fourth birthday, quickly developing a deep commitment to both piano and classical guitar. Now 12 years old (2025), he has performed in numerous recitals and concerts, consistently earning top honors. He has passed all MTAC piano exams with Honors and achieved First Distinction with Honors in RCM classical guitar and music theory. Though he only began entering competitions this year, John has already received multiple accolades, including additional recognition from the Charleston International Music Competitions.

We proudly celebrate John’s remarkable achievement and look forward to watching his continued growth as a young artist representing the AGBU community with excellence.
