AUGUST 19, 2026 - AGBU Manoogian-Demirdjian School's 51st academic year officially began with our annual Opening Ceremony, bringing our K–12 community together to mark the start of a new year of learning, growth, and possibility. The first day opened with one of our most cherished traditions: our Class of 2027 Seniors welcoming our newest Titans and walking alongside our kindergarteners on their first day of school, a meaningful reminder of the generations that shape our community.
We were honored to welcome distinguished guests, including Western Region Executive Director Mrs. Gohar Stambolyan, Mr. Sinan Sinanian, and members of our Board of Trustees. The morning continued with remarks from Chairman of the Board Mr. Kevork Zoryan and AGBU MDS Head of School Mr. David Ghoogasian, followed by a benediction from His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Archpriest Fr. Shnork Demirjian, and Rev. Fr. Gevork Abyan of @stpeteracyo. Student Council President Bedros-Ara Oruncakciel and Vice President Shant Vakian also shared opening remarks, joined on stage by their fellow Student Council members.
