We proudly announce that our Decathlon students achieved remarkable success at the 46th California Academic Decathlon State Championship in Santa Clara, CA! In a highly competitive field of over 400 participants representing 54 schools across four divisions, our students distinguished themselves by earning:
Congratulations to DHS student Sevag Vakian, who was awarded the prestigious *7k Club* recognition for outstanding performance. This achievement is historic for our school, as we are the first Armenian School to travel to and compete in the California Academic Decathlon, marking the first time an Armenian school has participated in this esteemed competition and brought home various medals.
We couldn't be more proud of our Titans' representing our school with their intelligence, dedication, and hard work during this historic moment.
Thank you to Decathlon Coach Mrs. Taleen Hasholian for the guidance, support, and leadership throughout the season. Additionally, we would like to thank our chaperone, Mrs. Armineh Avedian & DHS Principal Anahid Nalbaldian for their unconditional support. We even had a special visit from former teacher Mrs. Roxanne Bedrossia,n who came to cheer on our Titans.
